Generals Chicken was on Par. The Chicken fried rice was excellent. The fried dumplings were average. The cheapest part of the meal, egg rolls…the stole the show. Best egg roles in south Jersey. I gave five stars because it was quality food, no funkiness at all. I enjoyed the meal, I am trying the Singapore Noodles next time. Definitely more egg rolls. Definitely coming back for more. I order through Uber eats and delivery. The driver was excellent Joshua!!! All in all worth a try.
some of greatest chinese food. do NOT listen to anyone who gave this place bad review. very fast delivery, delicious hot food, amazing prices and they always give u extra stuff like sauce, fortune cookies, and once i got 2 extra egg rolls!! love it❤️❤️
I had given up on finding a decent Chinese restaurant in the area, but was pleasantly surprised by Empress. The food was fresh, tasty, and the portions were good. It helped we could pick it up and only live around the corner, but still the food was good. I really liked the wonton soup, the feeling was flavorful and deep brown; not gray and questionable. Thanks for the yummy food.
Small place for mostly take out. Has four tables if you wanted to eat in. Extensive menu with lunch specials. Had tofu with mixed vegetables, moo shu vegetables and cream cheese won tons. The won tons were crispy without being oily. The two dinners were enough to have another full meal for leftovers. Tofu dish had crisp cooked vegs. People were friendly.
I have finally found the Chinese food of my childhood and it has taken 30 years to find it. As a child of the 80's, Chinese food was a staple. Been to over 50 Chinese restaurants over the last 30 years and this place matches the restaurant I frequented with family and friends. Pork fried rice, boneless spare ribs and egg rolls were identical to what I remembered and absolutely PHENOMENAL. Why did the other 50+ restaurants not match this level? What was it about the ingredients and the techniques used? I'll never know... But this place serves as an olfactory and taste bud time machine, and I am thankful.
Absolutely best Chinese food on or off island. They always remember my extra side of hot oil and their food is consistently good. Their prices are unbeatable, especially for the quality and best of all they are family owned.
I work in the complex and regularly buy from here! The food is delicious and always fresh! I have high expectations with food and the Empress exceeds them every time.

Fast service. Excellent food. Location is kind of a hidden secret... to right of main building. Lots to choose from. Huge portions. Tons of shrimp in the rice. Delicious shrimp rolls. Definitely give them a call. Honorable and caring. My first choice. I shall return. PS. They often give you free sodas.
So far the only place that uses oil as their base for the beef and broccoli sauce 4.8/5. Everywhere else so far uses heavy corn starch. Shrimp fried rice had a great savory flavor to it 5/5 Update: I have tried all the Chinese food in this area and lived across the tristate area. By far the best shrimp fried rice I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and try it.
